What does the Monitoring Department do?

The Monitoring Department (also known as Control Tower) monitors the movement of goods around Europe and the flow of information between the driver and the customer.

This team verifies that the correct goods have been loaded and that the vehicles arrive on time. In addition, our Control Tower controls the documents needed for the transport, which the driver received at the loading.

What does the customer gain thanks to Euro24 Control Tower? 

First of all, 24/7 control over where the cargo is currently located. The customer can contact the monitoring department at any time and get information about the status of the shipment:

  • via email
  • by phone
  • via SMS

The customer can also count on immediate response in case of a car breakdown or other random events events that may affect the day or time of unloading, which is especially important for AOG (airport-to-airport) transports or for manufacturing companies.

TRANSPORT STATUSES

What do transport statuses refer to? 

The customer receives statuses from the monitoring department in the following situations:

  • Loading– number of pallets, weight of goods, ability of addresses from the documentation on loading with the address from the order.
  • Arrival for unloading – information about the arrival of goods at the agreed place of unloading.
  • Unloading – information about unloading with POD (document confirming unloading).
  • Update – the number of kilometers to the destination, the current location of the vehicle and the expected delivery time.
  • Emergencies – information about problems on the route or delays.
  • Customs Clearance – information about reaching customs clearance and about cleared goods or receiving customs documents.
